Tarasova Gora 2013, review of visiting this meeting with photos

So, in late May or early June, the largest motorcycle rally in Ukraine, called Tarasova Gora, was held. In 2013, it was the 11th Tarasca gathering.

This was my third gathering. In 2012, I managed to visit the meeting of the ybr club and 5 roads in Uman. It was not possible to go to Taraska then, due to the vacation at sea :-).

But now, 2013, everything works out in time and I decided to go to Taraska. After reading the forums about the rally, I realized that in Taraska we are waiting for me about the same as in Uman: a tent, a concert, motorcycles and alcohol. In the future, these expectations were only confirmed :-).

Where is Tarasova Gora, map

Tarasov Mountain this year passed near Pereyaslav, on the basis of Slavutich. In general, the place may change. On the official website there is always information about the place and time of the meeting and the program: http://tarasovagora.ua The disadvantage of the site is that it is very difficult to find what you need from the first time. For example, the same map as to drive to Tarasca I was looking for 10 minutes, the festival program is 5 minutes. I.e. somehow not thought out. The site looks cool but there are no necessary sections in a prominent place. Just in case, I put a map of Tarasca here. You need to drive into it at the second turn, i.e. the one that is far from Kiev. There will be a sign "Base Slavutich". Follow it and navigate on.

What to take with you to Tarasca

If you have not booked a house or a hotel in advance, then you should take a tent, a carriage and a sleeping bag with you to the motorcycle festival. Everything else in principle at the fest is: a dining room to eat and a bunch of points with the sale of alcohol that would drink.

The road to Tarasova Gora to Pereyaslav from Kiev, how best to go

It is best to go through Boryspil. Although there are traffic jams and there is another road closer to the Dnieper, but I do not advise you to go along it. Because there are only pits! Therefore, we go as Yandex or Google will pave the route. It is not long to go to the festival from Kiev, a little more than an hour on the Jubra. Attention, when passing through Boryspil, there is NO sign to Pereyaslav ! But there is a pointer to Zolotonosha, that's where you turn. For example, I poked the first turn. When we drove, there was a very strong wind: 8 meters per second. As a result, the moth was simply blown away! I reduced my speed to 40 km per hour because it was really scary that a passing truck would blow you to the side of the road. Also when approaching Pereyaslav – lose speed. Since traffic cops were waiting for us there. Well, on the ybr ke then you will not accelerate very quickly, but the Belarusians in front of us got on the money for speeding. Therefore, we do not go fast in front of the city! After the traffic cops, turn right! And we go straight ahead. Then there will be a right turn with a non-working traffic light, DO NOT TURN anywhere, and go straight! After the bridge, there will be a turn to the right with a sign to the Base Slavutich – that's where we turn. For example, we turned the wrong way a couple of times, since there is no jeep and somehow I did not carefully look at the route before leaving. And in general, many people asked for directions to Tarasca. In the place of the organizers, I would hang posters at intersections and turns – so that people do not get confused.

Registration in Tarask

It is best to register on the official website. It will save time and you will get a gift :-). Alas, I did not register, as I was not sure until the end that I would go. Therefore, on the spot, we drive up to the entrance and go to register. You need to take a questionnaire and fill it out. It is advisable to have a pen with you. Since freebies are often busy. Then we pay 200 UAH for ourselves and 100 for a girl, we get bracelets, and bags with stickers, posters and condoms 🙂 and drive into the base. Next, search for a place where to put a tent.

Where to pitch a tent in Tarasca

It is best to go to the company well, or to smear the company. But there were two of us. So I had to look for a place for the tent a little. Of course there were places, but I wanted to find a place quieter. Actually, you can put up tents almost everywhere. But where the territory is rewound with red ribbons, it is better not to stick. It's people who have fenced off a place for themselves and their friends or a club. But where the ribbons are not fenced anything can be safely fallen. After touring the camp, we chose a suitable place for us and set up a tent.

And here's what's in the camp on Taraska

In fact, there are a lot of motorcycles :-). For example: But there are also girls who advertise different things. These are the ones that advertised McCauf. They were dressed only in shorts, all that is higher is bodypainting: Tarasova Gora 2013, review of visiting this meeting with photos At the fest of course there is where to eat. Prices are quite normal: Tarasova Gora 2013, review of visiting this meeting with photos And here is the dining room itself: Tarasova Gora 2013, review of visiting this meeting with photos Beer cost 10 UAH for a glass of draught Chernihiv. Generally fine. The stage was built on the water: Tarasova Gora 2013, review of visiting this meeting with photos The bands began to perform in the late afternoon. Headliners performed after 22-00. The program was delayed by an hour or more. Tarasova Gora 2013, review of visiting this meeting with photos As for the rest of the entertainment, I can't say anything, since I haven't tried anything. Overall, there was a lot to do at the fest. But most people just drank and socialized. On Saturday morning, they began to build a colony in Kaniv. I didn't go to the convoy, but I managed to take pictures of many motorcyclists who rode in it and just stood at the base. Here's an example of a cool biker dog: Tarasova Gora 2013, review of visiting this meeting with photos Well, just motorcycles: Tarasova Gora 2013, review of visiting this meeting with photos Building a column: Tarasova Gora 2013, review of visiting this meeting with photos Tales in a column: Tarasova Gora 2013, review of visiting this meeting with photos Tarasova Gora 2013, review of visiting this meeting with photos Tarasova Gora 2013, review of visiting this meeting with photos Tarasova Gora 2013, review of visiting this meeting with photos Tarasova Gora 2013, review of visiting this meeting with photos Tarasova Gora 2013, review of visiting this meeting with photos Tarasova Gora 2013, review of visiting this meeting with photos In general, there were not a few bikes: Tarasova Gora 2013, review of visiting this meeting with photos Before leaving the base, we were given a ball on Bern, a trifle and nice 🙂 Tarasova Gora 2013, review of visiting this meeting with photos Well, the column went … We stood there for about 15 minutes, taking pictures while we drove through the whole column. It stretched out of course. And we went to the city for kefir, and then decided to go along the Dnieper. Closer to Kiev there are only mansions along the river and it is not possible to approach the water. As a result, we returned closer to the base and stopped at the beach to drink kefir. And here is my handsome man, with a bag on the tank of equipment for two on top: Tarasova Gora 2013, review of visiting this meeting with photos Lying in the sun. We went to the base. We met a friend, talked, ate, drank and went to watch a concert and an entertainment show program. The host was Gennady Popenko. There were many more people under the stage: Tarasova Gora 2013, review of visiting this meeting with photos At about 10 p.m., the organizer of the festival, Ashot, came out. He was riding a horse and fell near the stage into the water. There was a wet one on the stage :-). We unfortunately didn't win anything :-(. But there was hope :-). In total, there were more than 3,000 guests, about 10 prizes were drawn. Return home to Kiev

On Sunday morning we decided to go home. At the exit from Pereyaslav, all the same traffic cops were waiting for us. They stopped everyone and looked at how many people were drunk behind the wheel. Therefore, I advise you to normally sober up before leaving Tarasca! They just asked me if I drank vodka, receiving a negative answer – they wished me a happy journey.

Conclusions on Tarasova Gora and is it worth going there?

Personally, I liked it at the festival! Therefore, at least once to go there and see everything with your own eyes is worth it! Now for the nuances. The price of the entrance ticket, for many it is expensive for a "place for a tent". People just don't think it costs money to invite the Crematorium and other groups. Therefore, if of the groups that perform there you do not like any at all, then perhaps it is expensive. Noise and drunkenness. Yes, it is. Everyone boozes and at night often unscrews the gas knob at idle. That is, in order to fall asleep, you need to get drunk or take earplugs with you. In general, we slept more or less normally. True, they woke us up with conversations around 8 am :-). Well, we went to bed after 12 at night. Eating and drinking in Tarasca. If you want to save money – you can take everything with you. You can build fires on the base, i.e. cooking food is not a problem. But, the price of borscht was 6 hryvnia, rice with vegetables cost 5 hryvnia. That is, you could just eat cheaply. Hot dog cost 15 hryvnia. Beer cost 10 hryvnia, also as if not super expensive. Therefore, decide for yourself what to take with you, strong alcohol is of course better to carry, but beer can be bought on the spot. The atmosphere is generally positive, but of course there are also such people who stand in the crowd and listen to Ashot, say that he is a goat and everything is very expensive, commercialized, etc. Why they came to the fest is not clear. In short, it's like everywhere else. How much money to take with me for Taraska The budget of my trip with a girl was about 500 hryvnia. Of these, 300 are entrance, the rest is beer, wine, food and various trifles. We arrived on Friday afternoon and left on Sunday morning. Gasoline did not count, drove about 200 km back and forth. Is it worth going to Tarasov Mountain? This was the question that tormented me before the trip. Again, I repeat that it is definitely worth coming once! But in general, this festival is comparable to Umansky (5 roads), except that it is larger. But in any case, the decision is of course yours! Update: for dessert, a few videos taken from the festival: And here's a column in Kaniv:
