Steel city bike updated for the 2015 season

Urban is a 7-speed city bike from Foffa, and in 2015 it was available in this brilliant blue color. The price will be $ 760.

The 4130 chrome frame, designed for ride comfort for which steel is so famous, works in tandem with 28mm tires to ride gently on cracked bike lanes. Really compact geometry and a fork with straight legs create a straight landing and sensitive controls to help maneuver through crowded streets.

The frame also has hooks for the trunk and fenders along with mounts for bottle holders. The carriage has a lot of free space and uses a 165 mm 46T Lusso system, which confirms the practicality of the bike.

Last year's black frame has been replaced by the blue one you can see here, as well as the granite grey or white one.

To help speed up the adventure and, in general, make life easier, the Shimano Nexus bushing is used, which offers 7 gears in a bushing protected by a seal. This keeps mechanics to a minimum and protects the transmission from wheel and dirt. The Revo gripshift manette on the steering wheel makes switching speeds easy. The carriage was upgraded to a square Shimano cone.

It was very important to leave the classic look. The silver alloy of the Nexus rear hub is reflected in the alloy bushing protected by the seal and radial spokes. The 25mm double-walled CNC-treated rims are lighter than the 2014 version.

More bare metal can be seen on the traditional 80mm corrugated steering wheel extension and steering wheel, 27.2mm Zoom alloy seat pin, brakes and Tektro levers (another 2015 update). The ergonomic brown leather grips are also complemented by a ribbed saddle from Foffa – which has been redesigned for added comfort – to complete the retro look.

Urban will be available in April 2015. Foffa will also offer a premium version in matte black with Avid BB7 disc brakes and an 8-speed Shimano Alfine planetary hub for $ 1216.
