Why it is better to change the fairing to a round headlight on yamaha ybr 125

Everyone is good Ebra, but it has a very weak point, called the fairing, it is also the muzzle, it is also the front plastic. At the slightest fall – the fairing breaks and scratches. If the fall is light – then the muzzle can be soldered and glued with a soldering iron, but if the fall-accident is strong, then you will have to buy a new fairing, which costs more than 400 UAH or 50 USD!

And to be honest, I don't like the fairing, after all, Ebr is not a sports bike and plastic is not to his face.

Also, I'm afraid that when learning to ride a motorcycle, there will be falls that the fairing will not survive, so as not to break it, I decided to put a round headlight on my Yamaha ybr 125!

Where to get a round headlight for Yamaha ybr 125, mount and spare parts

About the round headlight for Yobra, a lot has been written on the forum of the ybr club. But, in the whole topic, basically people made a mount for the headlights themselves, i.e. it is difficult to buy a ready-made solution in Kiev. And the whole point is in the mount for the round headlight, because the headlight itself with turn signals is not a problem to buy.

I ordered my mount and headlight in China, along with the delivery, the whole set cost just under 100 bucks. At the official dealer of Yamaha, the round headlight assembly costs about 400!!!! Dollars!

About where to get a round headlight, I wrote a separate article, but then let's move on to the problem of removing the fairing.

Removing the muzzle (fairing) on yamaha ybr 125

Take care of the tool! I needed a small key on 10-12-14 the most.

We have a cute red Yamaha ybr 125:

Next, unscrew the screws:

Unscrew the second screws on the left and right:

Removed the side plugs, got this look:

Unscrew 2 more screws in the front:

Next, carefully remove the fairing:

Disconnect the wiring that still holds the fairing, this is the main light (tee), the gauge (2 wires dad-mama) and 2 turn signals (plugs).

After disconnection, we get the following water form:

Now the hardest part of the job is to remove the fairing mount. First, unscrew the 2 bolts in front:

Next, unscrew the horn horn. It is located inside, in the center:

Next, I had to cut a couple of plastic flagella that bound the wires. Just to remove the mount, it was necessary to disconnect part of the wires:

Next, I disconnected almost all possible connections to remove the fairing mount – black iron. It's really very hard to shoot. Part of the temples must be bent and turned between the wires and brake hoses. Here is a photo of the wiring, I was afraid that then I would not connect everything where necessary. But I was afraid in vain, because all the wires go by color and you are unlikely to confuse what to connect where:

To remove the mount, I also had to unscrew the dashboard, it unscrews simply: 2 screws on top. I finally removed the mount, which I was terribly pleased with:

That's actually all, if you want to remove the fairing yourself, remember that you need keys and flagella and a little patience.

Put the round headlight on the Yamaha ybr 125

Installing a round headlight is simple! Put the native mount on a round headlight, instead of fixing the fairing – it's easy! I didn't even photograph this process. I installed the mount, connected the wires, screwed the headlight and turn signals.

Trouble arose only with the turn signal plugs. The new ones, they did not fit the Yobrovsky ones, so I had to buy adapter plugs. I bought them from Vladushka (nickname: Wladuszka) – this is a seller from the site moto.kiev.ua. Plugs cost 20 UAH each.

And here's what happened in the end, a yobra with a round headlight. Minus only the wiring, I did not hide it and photokal before I connected the turn signals with plugs-adapters:
