What is Off Road Free Fest

The annual event, which usually takes place at the end of July, 50 kilometers from Kiev, on the shores of the Kiev Sea. This is a gathering of jeepers, where lovers of 4na4 (Jeeps) come to ride on the mud, participate in competitions and just relax in nature with a tent.

Often at the rally there are free test drives of various jeeps, mainly budget jeeps, which can be officially bought in Ukraine.

Different competitions are held all day long, and in the evening the winners are awarded. Anyone who has a jeep or AN ATV can participate :-). But the cars there are usually so cool that only a knowledgeable person can take part in most competitions.

Well, in 2013, free fest was held here: Map of the train, and more detailed, where exactly to get: tyc.

I don't have a GPI on my phone, so I drove to Yasnogorodka, then further towards Tolkun, and then attached myself behind the jeep that I was going to the fest :-). In general, finding a place is not a problem.

How much does it cost to visit Off Road Free Fest

As for me, it is very cheap. From the car 50 UAH for entry, and you will be given more stickers. That is, if there are 5 people in the car, then generally pennies. But there was a package of 100 UAH – this is what would participate in all competitions, but when you go there for the first time, take a package for 50 UAH :-).

Where to spend the night at the Fest

in a tent on the shore of the Kiev Sea :-). There is no shower, but there is a lake nearby where you can swim well, and there is the Kiev Sea, but there is a knee-deep depth.

How was Off Road Free Fest 2013

We arrived on Saturday, and at one o'clock in the afternoon. Therefore, we missed some of the contests. Well, those that Caught, now I will describe a little.

First of all, just the big picture. There is a stage, a field and specially washed mud places.

People also come to the rally on motorcycles, I saw a couple of people on crosachs being chased there.

But the dude decided to just spin and shoot from the window on camera:

Competition for balance. The goal is to drive on the swing and set the car so that both sides of the swing are in the air.

Unfortunately, but the contest was contested by the buhiy (there were a couple of people) and cunning (who put 5 people on the car so that they would move back and forth).

Well, then we took a break and went swimming. The approach to the sea is terrible, so we swam in the lake, here:

Then there was Saturday night and the awarding of the winners, and then the disco.

Then we slept, had breakfast in the morning and went to see the next contests :-).

The goal is to go to sea, go around the buoy and return first. The depth is often higher than a meter, so only cars with high suspension and large wheels participated in this competition.

Competition for who will drive faster in a straight line

It seems that everything is simple and understandable, but you need to drive through such mud, in which many jeeps stalled.

Well, we did not get to the rest of the competitions, since we arrived only on Saturday. Although the Jeep Fest itself goes 3 days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

Most of the contests were won by Belarusians. Many cars were sold at the festival. And there was one accident in the field. Even the traffic police came.

Theft and tents

Everything is the same as on motorcycle rallies, no one steals, but of course you can not leave valuable things in the tent!

Conclusions on JeepFest

– It's interesting there!

– For those who love jeeps, it is definitely worth going there.

– They don't sing here, i.e. if bands perform on stage at motorcycle rallies , then everything is simpler here, but the price is several times lower.

– The audience is older, i.e. no one warms up a motorcycle at 3 a.m. :-).

– You can have a great weekend in the fresh air, watch a show and all this for very little money
