So, let's proceed to the description of the trip. By the way, this is my farthest trip, since before that I drove a maximum of 200 km to the village per day. And to Uman from Kiev to go 220 km :-).

Packing your luggage

Packing your luggage

I left at 3 p.m. Before that, I packed my luggage. By the way, a few words about the packaging of luggage. Given that I don't have any luggage system yet and don't even have a big boot bag, I'm limited to just a spider and a tourniquet + a school backpack on my back. In general, for small hikes there everything climbs.

Under the spider perfectly climbs a sleeping bag, tent and carriage. Next, I put on a backpack on top and secured it with a flagellum. In general, everything is attached normally, even water can be taken out of the backpack.

Departure from Kiev on the Odessa highway

In Kiev there was an easy pull, in which you could feel the advantages of motorcycle transport. My ybr 125 fits easily between the rows and when the cars are stationary, I slowly overtake them :-).

Leaving Kiev, I accelerated to 90 km per hour for the first time. Well, where there was a good road I drove about 80 km per hour. After the second maintenance, the throttle knob can be twisted up to 7,500 rpm. Here they are just enough for driving 80-90 km per hour.

I was most impressed by the sunflower fields. I have never seen so many yellow sunflowers. They look very beautiful:

Well, after about 3 hours, I reached Motoslet, which is located near Uman.

What is this motorcycle season? In fact, this is 2 days of communication and fun on the territory of the former pioneer camp. The program in 2012 was as follows:

Thursday

18.00-19.00 – dinner from Khokhla: porridge, vodka and salzo in a narrow circle – with a guitar and accordion. We will be very glad to see Kos ! . We rest until the morning.

12.00-17.00 – we check in, settle down, relax.

18.00 we start to smell a little bit of play on stage. In the program: Two young groups Guards of dawn Sanset street, Duke Garden, Troy and Olezhka UNIVERSAL.

Somewhere past midnight: A film presentation on a big screen of a movie for adult bikers.

Subotnica:

9.00 – rise. Ambulance ear, come to our senses and put in order the moths. The kitchen is open for 2 hours, then goes to bed.

12.00 – we go in a convoy to the city center. Further routes are the sea: a nunnery, traces of the Mother of God, a monument to Ivan Gonta. For bikers in love, we will show the way to Sofiyivka

16.00 Dinner. Everyone pulls up to the field kitchen. The kitchen is open for 2 hours, then goes back to bed.

18.00 Beginning of the concert program:

Presentation of certificates and awards to the stars of the silver screen, a raffle of prizes and the like.

Performance of groups: Vpershe Chuyu, Krylia, Zhora Deliev, Ot Vitta, Brothers Karamazov.

Sunday:

In the morning at 9:00 ear on the track. Those who want to, stay to walk on

At the entrance to the rally you need to register, which this year cost 200 hryvnia from boys, 50 hryvnia from girls and free for girls on their motorcycle.

After that, you will be given a sticker on your hand and you can drive to the base.

By the way, at the rally there can be only legal moths with documents, no docs are allowed there. More precisely, they do not produce :-). Since departure from the base only upon presentation of a technical passport for the mot. Probably they did it so that the motorcycle would not be stolen.

The territory of the base is relatively small. Therefore, it is impossible to put a tent there in a quiet place, because in the center there is a stage. I set up a tent near my friend from the Blue Mountains, by the way I was very lucky that I met him, I went to the rally alone and for a long time I did not know where to stick.

After setting up the tent – we started eating :-). And I was shown a funny know-how how to cook chicken on a fire without a grate and a barbecue. It's simple, you need to take disposable trays of foil – put meat in them and them on the fire. Everything is very wonderfully prepared:

In the evening there was a concert with competitions. In short, it wasn't boring. Well, everyone basically drank :-).

A few more words about the base and life at the motorcycle rally in Uman

You can wash under a cold shower. Food comes in the kit, but there is usually a queue for 30 minutes. Therefore, I advise you to take something with you and cook on the fire. Well, or buy paid food there. Prices are very democratic. There is a forest around the base, so there are no problems with firewood.

With booze, the situation is better. Vodka is basically unlimited. Beer should be bought, cider is also better to buy, since there is a queue for free cider.

By the way, I forgot about the pool. The water there is muddy and waist-deep. In general, you can plunge.

Minus the bases are the scary toilets… It is better to go far into the forest so as not to be afraid.

Uman, day two, departure of the motorcycle convoy to the city center

I did not go in the convoy, as there is still little experience and I was told that it was time to go in the convoy. You have to be always on the alert, so as not to crash anywhere. So I spent the whole day in the camp, photographing motorcycles.

Well, in the evening the concert began. There was even a bit of a striptease.

On Sunday morning there was a free ear, for which again there was a long queue and the way home.

But on the way home, it started to rain! I'm driving and I see everything in the mirror fade. I saw motorcyclists who stopped near the bus stop and joined them. Literally 5 minutes later it was raining!

Driving with such an ass was unrealistic without a raincoat. That and with the raincoat is very unpleasant. Passing trucks could easily be completely doused with water.

In the end, I waited out all the rain at the bus stop with other bikers. And after about half an hour, it started to clear up.

The bikers decided to drive on a wet road, and I decided to wait another half an hour to go already on a dry road :-). As a result, really after 30-40 minutes everything dried up and it was already comfortable to go!

I got to Kiev normally, put a mot in the garage and went to drink beer on a bench, sharing my impressions with friends.
