How to tighten the chain on a Yamaha ybr 125 motorcycle. Video instruction
Sooner or later, the chain of the motorcycle stretches and it will need to be tightened. Of course, this procedure can be ordered at the service or in some motorcycle workshop, well, or from Uncle Vasya in the garage. But sometimes all this is not at hand and the chain has to be pulled by yourself.

By the way, tightening the chain on a motorcycle is easy! Even in the instructions for Yamaha ybr 125 there is a section where the whole process is described in the pictures. It is not complicated, but nevertheless, it is better to watch the video, about how to do IT CORRECTLY!
How to tighten the chain, video
This video very well demonstrates how to properly tighten the chain on the ybr 125. In other brands of motorcycles, it's pretty much the same.
Errors when pulling a chain
I myself made these mistakes at the first pull-up. So, the first one:
– Don't pull the chain! When pulling up the chain, I put the bike on the center footrest. And the funny thing is that it's one thing when the chain is pulled on the central footrest and quite another thing when you take the motorcycle off the bandwagon and sit on it. At this time, the chain is strongly stretched, like a string! This is wrong!
– Crooked put the rear wheel! The video says that first we put the wheel EXACTLY, and then we adjust the tension. So, for the first time I set the wheel crookedly, as a result, my chain began to chirp and make a grinding sound when driving. Since when the wheel is not flat, the stars of the chain begin to grind differently. All in all, this is bad! Therefore, first we put the wheel evenly, and then we adjust the tension of the chain with a nut.
– Forget about the rear brake! When the chain is tightened, the rear brake pedal will change its free stroke. The video also says this, so do not forget to adjust the free stroke of the rear brake. And then, unaccustomedly, you can press the rear brake pedal and lock the rear wheel.
In general, there is nothing complicated in adjusting the chain. This procedure can be done yourself. But remember, it is better to have an understretched chain than an overstretched one, because when re-tightening – the chain and the stars begin to grind faster.
When to tighten the chain on the Yamaha ybr 125
In my experience, it is necessary to regulate the chain every 3000-4000 kilometers. During this time, the chain is already stretched a little.
How do you know for sure that it's time to tighten the chain?
– You will begin to hear a slight grinding of the circuit at low speeds. This bottom of the chain will chirp against the metal, which is located near the front star of the motorcycle. That's how I found out it was time to tighten the chain. And besides, when driving and starting – the chain will begin to dangle like snot. That is, you can ask a friend to see if everything is OK when you start. The chain should not sausage much.
It seems to have written nuances, if you have something to add – then write about it in the comments.
